White Train get down and dirty at Lardner Park
Lardner Park Cross Country
A strong cadre of hardy MUAC cross country athletes took a pleasant Saturday drive to Warragul and delighted in the true cross country of Lardner Park, complete with water filled ditches, fences, solid hills, mud a plenty and a smattering of cowpats.
Rosie Donegan continued her impressive lead up to the Australian Cross Country Championship with another podium place, taking third behind Melissa Duncan and Tarli Bird.
Grant Morgan and Zac Newman had a solid intra club battle before Morgan prevailed with both finishing in the top 25.
Amateur steeplechaser Hamish Beaumont struggled over the ditches at the back of the course, taking a good swim in one of the ditches. Kudos must go to Wayne Hoskins for his cross country debut, many years after joining the club.
