It is with much sadness that Melbourne University Athletics Club notes the death of Frank Henagan, MUAC Life Member.

Frank was part of Merv Lincoln’s training squad in the lead up to the 1956 Olympic Games and his connection to MUAC never wavered from that point.  Over the course of the next 65 years, he was involved in all aspects of club life. Arguably his greatest contribution was as an example to other athletes. Daniel Quin, past President of MUAC notes: “I admired the no nonsense way in which he [trained]. He just ran hard and expected others do likewise. His repetitions at the Rawlinson track outlasted me and probably everybody else that came to the club.”
