Two in top six for MUAC at National Cross
Australian Cross Country Championships
Sophie Barker and Rosie Donegan took 5th and 6th place respectively in the Open Women’s Championship at the Australian Cross Country Championships at Symmons Plains in Norther Tasmania on Saturday, 31st of August.
Barker, who represented Australia at the 2013 IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Poland earlier in the year, recorded her best performance at the Championships, taking fifth place in 29:52 on a cold and windy day in Tasmania. Donegan, on her long holiday from the University of New Hampshire, crossed the line just three seconds back in 29:55, to take sixth place and the Australian U23 Cross Country Championship. The Victorian Team continued it’s dominance winning it’s 28th Team title.
