Sunday triple treat for MUAC runners

Three of MUAC’s best runners were in the thick of it on Sunday, 24th March, and all walked away with significant results.
Sophie Barker was second Australian home in the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, running 27:13 over the tough 8km course for 81st place. Snow was falling as the race started and snow and mud covered the 2km loop that included barriers, sharp turns and a testing hill.
Lisa Weightman, in her first race since the since the Osaka Marathon in January, crossed the line in first place yesterday to take out the Herald Sun/CityLink Run for the Kids 15km course in 50min 49sec.
Sarah McSweeney won the New Zealand 3000m Steeplechase title in Auckland, running 10:33 to win the gold.
