Simon Greig goes back to back at Vic 100 Yard Championships

Simon Greig was never headed in the Victorian 100 yards Championships at Lakeside Stadium on Thursday, 12th of December, defending his title with an emphatic victory in 9.87s. ¬†Greig will be looking to carry that good form into the new year and the Australian Athletics Tour leading up to the Australian Athletics Championships in March. ¬†Romain Donneux ran well in the Malinowski Steeplechase, reeling in his competitors over the last couple of laps to take 2nd place in 9:16.15. Amanda Paulin, in her first race for the summer was 12th in the 1500m in 4:33.77. Cath Macrae and Kath Iannello competed in the Steve Hooker Pole Vault Challenge, clearing 3.40m and 3.10m respectively. Nick Earl ran well in the titular race of the program, the Zatopek 10,000m, which doubled as the Australian Championship and 2015 World Championship Selection trial.
