Summer conditions and sport returned on Saturday as MUAC swept Division 1 for the third time in a row to remain unbeaten in AV Shield.  Recovering from the washout at Aberfeldie, our Women’s Division 1 team nearly doubled the points total of second place, collecting over 8000 points on the day, with Men’s Division 1 besting rivals Essendon by 1500 points. Both teams are building a strong case to claim the Zone Premiership and head to AV Shield Final as contenders for the title.

2016 Rio Olympian Regan Lamble led off the day in the 2000m walk, collecting the highest point score of the day, 531 for her 8:52. Ellen Schaef continued her great early season form running 4:24 in the 1500m for another 500+ point performance. Julian Baker topped the men, scoring 476 points for his 4:00 flat 1500m. Kira Davey racked up an impressive 1890 points with Elizabeth Ruach not far behind on 1690 points.

MUAC’s Shield team will be back in action on Sunday, 20th of November for Round 5 of AV Shield at Werribee.
