MUAC does it at a canter at Round 4

A small and dedicated bunch of MUAC athletes were in action for Round 4 of AV Shield, with action spread across the state.  Jemima Montag continued her good form collecting a massive 552 points for her 22:36.4 5000m at Ringwood. Cassandra Wang Lecouteur was our second highest point scorer for Division One Women, clocking 26.19 in the 200m for 445 points.  Kira Davey collected another monstrous haul of points, with 3 personal bests at Doncaster. Multi event star Christian Paynter topped the men’s standings with the three biggest scores of the day, earning big points in the javelin, 54.21m (495 points), shot put, 14.52m (490 points) and long jump, 6.66m (477 points).

Four rounds in to the season the MUAC Division One Men sit three points clear on top of the ladder.  The Division One Women are a solitary point from the lead but well clear of third place and in a qualifying position for the AV Shield Final. MUAC’s two teams also sits comfortably in the top four in state wide Division One competition.

MUAC’s Division One AV Shield teams will be back in action on Saturday, 10th of November for Round 5.
