Baden powers to great heights

AV Shield Round 8

There were a string of great performances by MUAC athletes during Round 8 of AV Shield, but Joel Baden’s 2.24m stood clear of them all.  Two fine attempts at 2.28m, the CGAQ, with the second one particularly close, bode well for a summer of big jumps. Joseph Baldwin’s 2.10m garnered big points too and he’ll be looking to build on his 2.22m CGBQ already in the books as the season progresses. Harry Kimpton-Moss took his first stroll over the long hurdles for the season in a stacked race clocking 55.62. Katrina Anderson was MUAC’s top scoring female with her 4:33.4 1500m at Casey.  The depth of MUAC was on show with athletes in action across all five AV Shield venues.

Our Division One men took another convincing win, 5000 points clear of second place and remain undefeated. The Division One MUAC women took their first loss for the season by just 150 points, but remain well clear on top of the ladder.
