A big contingent of MUAC athletes took advantage of unusually benign conditions on Sunday morning at the Melbourne Marathon Festival, with lots of personal bests and two race victories topping the highlights list. Makda Haji continued her good form after winning the Australian Marathon Championship in Sydney to win the half marathon on Sunday in 1:10:39, beating Olympians Jess Trengove and Eloise Wellings.  Ellen Schaef, straight off the plane from Colorado, won the 5.7km race comfortably in 18:56.
