Kira Davey

Humans of MUAC

This is Kira’s third season training for pole vault, and her second season as a MUAC athlete. In her two years training with the pole vaulters, she managed to jump 2.80m. When it comes to athletics, there’s more to Kira than just pole vault. She is a good all round athlete, scoring points for most events at shield competitions. You might see Kira running around the track on Monday nights while the rest of us chase her because we can’t keep up! She has stepped up her training this season by seeking out fitness opportunities including gymnastics classes, and always wanting to do extra “cheeky abs” after training to get the summer bod ready. In the words of Warren Hill; “She’s not doing extra training sessions, she’s just replacing our training sessions with her own!”. Kira is the one to watch this season! My prediction is that she will be the most improved MUAC pole vaulter for 2018/19.

Interview with Kira:

What are your goals for this upcoming season?

I want to be able to start a competition at 3m.

What’s your favourite ice cream flavour?

Mint choc-chip.

What do you do when you’re not at the track?

Work, watch a lot of TV. My all time favourite show is Survivor.

If you could swap lives with any MUAC coaches for a day, who would it be and why?

Warren, so I can be loud, British, and angry.
