AV Shield starts this weekend!

Represent the club, be proud of your performance and get rewarded for it!

As a bonus to participating, you will receive 1 raffle ticket for each event you compete in (2 raffle tickets if it’s a relay) and one lucky winner with be drawn every 4 rounds. Come and sign up for an event or two on the white board, which will also assist us in attempting to fill all events!!(At the Melbourne uni base) *Prizes announced shortly.

We need your help!

Every club is allocated certain duties to ensure all meets run smoothly. Anyone can volunteer, it doesn’t have to be you…so ask family, friends or anyone that can come along to give a little time and cheer you on while they are there. We will have an online sign up for duties in the coming weeks. In the meantime, MUAC need to provide 4 helpers for the long jump and 2 for the set up of hurdles for Round 1. Everyone who helps will receive 2 raffle tickets for draw mentioned earlier.

Put your name down here to volunteer.

Shield timetable – please refer to the AV website for the current scheduling of events. The MUAC calendar lists the venue’s we’ll be competing at

Entering events on the day
Please stick to the standards listed on the timetable (for example the over/under 20m for javelin, discus and hammer). This is to ensure the safety of all athletes, officials and volunteers at all times. No one wants to be hit or pierced by an implement coming in the opposite direction

What age group are you in?
MUAC has entered 4 teams for both males and females in the following categories – U16, U20, Open Division 1 (2 teams).

Good luck to everyone, here’s to a big 2013/14 season with lots of participation and PBs!
